Custom Pearl Inlay
has been a source of custom inlay work for close to 40 years now. We
are experts at inlaying pearl, woods, soft metals and almost anything that
can be inlayed. Our primary focus is musical instruments however we can inlay
almost anything. We have worked for a broad spectrum of clients, from
the largest instrument manufacturers known to beginning luthiers
and musicians alike. Large or small, we offer you many options here at
CPI and are very flexible to work with. You may order pearl, or other materials,
cut into your custom pattern so that you may inlay it yourself or you can
have your custom work inlayed here at our shop. This can be a design
from our own archives of thousands of patterns, it can be your name or it can
be an artistic pattern which you supply to us.

Custom
Made Instruments
We also are expert luthiers, making some of the finest instruments in the
world. We make beautiful, handcrafted custom guitars and mandolins for
clients worldwide. From time to time we have even been know
to do a violin or two.
Dave Nichols
has done work for a variety of musicians ranging from country artists to
rockers. Examples include Del McCoury, David Grisman, Johnny Cash, Aerosmith, and even ZZ Top. Dave
still treasures a letter Johnny Cash sent to him stating how proud he was to
own his fancy Martin guitar. The guitar was painted black with a tree of life
inlaid on the fingerboard and his signature in the peg-head. Dave built a series
of guitars for ZZ Top and an Aerosmith guitar which had Spiderman inlaid in
it and was used in the movie of the same name.
This
year, Martin put out a series of Merle Haggard signature models that we
inlaid. Merle Haggard bought fifteen of them and gave them to his friends,
the likes of Willie Nelson and Norm Hamlett.

Repair
Custom Pearl Inlay is a authorized repair center for Martin guitars, but we
also repair any other make and model. We do every type repair imaginable.
Beginning with simple nut/bridge/saddle repairs and refretting
to neck resets, top replacements and full restorations. When it comes to
vintage instruments you can trust your collector's piece to CPI, we do it
all.
Because we are expert luthiers and inlay artists,
we also can customize anything you would like. Almost anything can be done
with one exception. We will not place a company name on an instrument not
made by that Company. More then
anything, we welcome visitors! Come visit us if you get the chance!

We are one of Martin Guitars largest retail dealers. You can always get a

We cannot accurately quote a price for custom work unless we know exactly
what the requirements and materials are. Please take a moment and fax/email
us your requirements and artwork so we may provide you with your own
custom quote. You will find that we provide the most reasonable price
